October Meeting
All at Sixes and Sevens - Trade Craft Guilds

The new season meetings started well with Marks energetic lecture about something he obviously enjoys - The York Trade Guild of Cordwainers (Shoe Makers).

Mark explained the meaning behind sixes and sevens and the way in which the Trade Guilds, restrictive practice and industrialisation shaped a Nation.

Mark is not only the Guilds archivist, but also the Pageant Master.
