The Oral History Project by the Staveley History Society was started by Elizabeth Morley in response to the requirements of the Brunton Family in Canada who wished to know more about the village where their ancestors came from.

See the Brunton Story.

This project aims to record the stories from those who were there or those who remember being told.  These stories are everything and anything to do with what the people of Staveley remember.  These can be living here, working here or even passing through.

We are working on these now and hope to bring them to you soon, with transcripts were possible to make it searchable.
